SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE: "INTERDISCIPLINARY TECHNOLOGY AND FUTURE TRENDS"
On October 17, 2025, Graduate University of Science and Technology (GUST), in collaboration with Novatech Group, organized the scientific conference, "Interdisciplinary Technology and Future Trends". The event fostered a connection between training, research, and practical applications, and at the same time created a forum for experts and scientists, lecturers and students of GUST to exchange and share knowledge and future trends of interdisciplinary technology.
Prof. Dr. Vu Dinh Lam, Rector of the Graduate University of Science and Technology, delivered the opening speech
During the conference, 29 distinguished students were awarded significant scholarships by Novatech Group. The Novatech Scholarship aims to motivate the younger generation to continue nurturing their passion for research and innovation in the digital age.
Ms. Le Thi Hong Hiep, representing excellent students and postgraduates receiving Novatech scholarships in 2025, gave a speech.
The conference brought together speakers who are leading experts, presenting on topics focused on 11 national strategic technology groups. This provided an opportunity for students and researchers to access advanced interdisciplinary technology trends, which supports sustainable development and enhances national competitiveness.
Under the conference theme, "Interdisciplinary Technology and Future Trends," the speakers introduced the latest achievements and updated trends in their respective research fields, with the following presentations:
1. Associate Prof. Dr. Doan Dinh Phuong, former Director of the Institute of Materials Science, Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Materials Science: "Hydrogen Energy: Future and Present"
2. Prof. Dr. Truong Nam Hai, former Director of the Institute of Biotechnology (now known as Institute of Biology): "Biotechnology 4.0 - the New Era of Biotechnology".
3. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Hoa, Vice Principal of the School of Materials Science and Engneering, Hanoi University of Science and Technology: "Semiconductor and Microchip Technology: Opportunities and Challenges for Vietnam".
4. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Anh, Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Information Technology: "Artificial Intelligence and some Big Questions".
Scientists and delegates engaged in discussions, clarifying issues of concern such as: points of focus for developing hydrogen energy sources in Vietnam, semiconductor chip design/manufacturing projects, and how to effectively utilize and exploit AI to support work processes in various fields, etc
The conference "Interdisciplinary Technology and Future Trends" was successfully held, contributing significantly to the development of Vietnamese science in particular and the socio-economic life of the country in general.
