Tennis Tournament: GUST OPEN 2018.

Due to the successful GUST OPEN tennis tournament held in September 2017, GUST OPEN 2018 Tennis Tournament was organized on Saturday, 22/9/2018 at Quan Hoa yard, Cau Giay district, Hanoi. This event was to cerebrate the anniversary of the founding of the Graduate University of Science and Technology (GUST); enhance relationships among GUST’s members as well as cooperation among GUST and other departments or institutes in Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST).

There were 42 tennis players who were Lecturers, GUST’s students; staff working in (VAST). These players competed in two age categories: Over 45 years old and Under 45 years old.

GUST OPEN 2018 tennis tournament Committee took commemorative photographs with all the tennis players.

Owing to players’ great efforts and fans’ huge support, GUST OPEN 2018 Tennis Tournament was held successfully. These were the cresults:

In Mixed Doubles matches (male over 45 and female player):

- First prize: Phan Van Kiem (Faculty of Chemistry) - Pham Thi Lien (Center for High Technology Development).

- Second Prize: Dinh Van Manh (Institute of Mechanics) - Nguyen Dinh Kien (Institute of Mechanics).

- Third prize: Nguyen Vu Giang (Institute of tropical techonology) – Nguyen Huy Hoang (Institute of Genome Research).

In Doubles matches (Male under 45)

- First prize: Phan Ngoc Hoa (Center for High Technology Development) – Phan Hai Dang (Institute of Mechanics).

- Second prize: Luu The Anh (Institute of Geography) – Phan Ngoc Hong (Center for High Technology Development).

- Third prize: Nguyen Hong Quang (Vietnam Universe Center) - Do Van Thien (Institute of Information Technology); Duong Ngoc Tu (Institute of Chemistry) - Ngo Cao Cuong (Gradudate University of Science and Techonology).

The GUST OPEN tennis tournament takes place annually on September, aiming to create a chance for GUST’s students and lecturers as well as cadres working in VAST to improve their physical health and tighten relationships among others.
